The Gambia Hornchurch International Scout Project (GHISP), is a remarkable initiative that focuses on developing a greater cultural understanding between both countries, young people, and improving scouting in the upper river region of the Gambia.
Founded in 2004 by a group of dedicated volunteers from Hornchurch in the United Kingdom, GHISP has been since working tirelessly to provide educational opportunities and personal development for young people.
This has led GHISP to organise expeditions with U.K scouts and volunteers to visit the Gambia, where they collaborate with local communities on various project to make a lasting impact on local communities The Gambia.
As part of our support for GHISP, our Managing Director, Karl Horner, who is personally involved in GHISP's mission and will be participating in the upcoming trips to The Gambia this July, is undergoing a challenge to achieve 500km in the gym, in under 60 days in order to help raise vital funds for GHISP's ongoing projects in The Gambia.
Mobiess aims to contribute to GHISP's efforts in creating a positive change and improving the quality of life in The Gambia's Upper River Region Community. In the upcoming expedition, GHISP aims to upgrade facilities at the local scout centre, making it more accessible for members of the community alongside some projects and skill sharing with locals.
